paulie's been doing this funny little push-up for the last couple of weeks, balancing on his hands and feet/toes. evidently, sophie thinks it's fun too :)

the lake

we spent this past week with the dayton clan in michigan at a super cute house off of lake saddle, just outside south haven. we had a blast and it was a joy just to be together and especially to spend time with my brother and his family.

sophie caught her first fish while at the lake-thanks dad! and actually, she caught a ton of tiny little bluegill (just like her cousin timothy who couldn't get enough fishing :) i'm certain that she now thinks fishing is a cinch and that every time you drop your line in, you'll catch something. she and dan should have a talk...

imagination

sophie's imagination has taken off this past week. she's been pretend playing for a long time now but all of the sudden there are a couple of pink and purple bunnies living in our bathroom that occasionally hop into her shoes and imaginary party hats that we wear at supper time that somehow appeared out of my school bag...what's funny about it all is that now when she says something i have no clue if she's just making it up out of thin air or if maybe there really is a bunny living in our bathroom :)
