Last but not least... Sophie was very concerned that the trees had fallen down and gotten owies. So, she went to the cupboard, got our her last Strawberry Shortcake band-aid, and asked me to put it on the tree. Hence, we now have this:

The Ice Storm
You know things are bad when you go outside for 10 minutes and you watch 3 trees fall. My neighbor Jason & I walked around the neighborhood, and there were a LOT of trees down (all the stupid Bradford Pears), but it certainly seems as though our little nook of the 'hood got the worst of it. As of last night, only their trees had fallen down, but by this morning our trees decided to join in. The Pear is pretty for 2 days a year and was nice and big, but I can live without it. I'm really sad about our Magnolia though. I really liked that tree. Anyway, here are some pics of the carnage:
