Mom & Dad Dayton were kind enough to come all the way down and babysit Sophie so that we could make the trip. Here is our happy family as we get ready to leave (I'm the unattractive one in between the two beautiful young ladies):

Nonetheless, an off day at the Derby is better than a good day almost anywhere else. We once again had a great time with our friends, made some new friends, and Nancy got to try the mint julip this year (she couldn't last year, what with being pregnant and all). She wasn't expecting it to be very good (most people told her they didn't like it), but she liked it just fine. I think I'm going to have to keep an eye on her...
