And then...

I was all set to write a post this morning about how I have regained my humanity and a couple of days with no Cub games have changed my perspective on things a bit. Also, as Nancy & I have actually been through a hurricane before (Hurricane Dennis in 2005), it is easy to remember how awful that was. So, no Cubs related thoughts this morning at all...

but then Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter.

I can't let that go without comment, right? So, in the interest of showing my restored humanity, let me simply offer my heart-felt congratulations to Mr. Zambrano on an excellent achievement and leave it at that.

Hard reading about your discomfort during the last few weeks of Cubs misfortunes as you're so young and new to this frequent trying month (Jas.1:12). Think how it feels doing this since 1943.
Holtzman, Stone, Pappas, Cardwell andI forgot how many others have pitched no-hitters for the Cubs and they still cannot win in September.
Stick to the pictures of Sophie and keep her away from this Cub fandom.
